（宋恒/文）秋光正好，筑梦当时。9月15日，哈尔滨工业大学国际教育学院2025级国际新生欢迎仪式暨入学教育在主楼礼堂举行。保卫处处长曲福忠，哈尔滨市公安局南岗分局出入境外管科副科长王晓东，国际教育学院院长赵异肖，院长助理苏安第，院务委员邵微、陈大庆，保卫处教师母展硕，学院各部门负责人及教师代表、辅导员共同为新生们送上“开学第一课”。仪式由辅导员李永琦主持。
The autumn scenery is pleasant, and it is the perfect time to build dreams. On September 15th, the welcome ceremony and enrollment education for international freshmen of 2025 at the College of International Education (CIE) of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) was held in the auditorium of the main building. QU Fuzhong, Director of the Security Department; WANG Xiaodong, Deputy Section Chief of the Exit-Entry Administration Section of Nangang Branch of Harbin Public Security Bureau; ZHAO Yixiao, Dean of CIE; SU Andi, Assistant Dean of CIE; SHAO Wei and CHEN Daqing, Members of the College Affairs Committee; MU Zhanshuo, Teacher of the Security Department; heads of various departments of CIE, teacher representatives, and counselors jointly gave the first lesson of the new semester to the new students. The ceremony was hosted by counselor LI Yongqi.

At the beginning of the ceremony, all teachers and students watched the welcome video together. The video showed HIT’s campus scenery, academic atmosphere, and diverse cultural life, allowing new students to intuitively feel the school motto spirit of Strict Standards, Solid Skills and the charm of the campus.

随后，国际教育学院院长赵异肖发表致辞。她代表学院全体师生对新生的到来表示热烈欢迎，通过引用阿拉伯谚语“求知去吧，哪怕远至中国”，肯定了新生们跨越山海追求知识的勇气，同时介绍了哈工大的办学实力、师资力量与科研平台。赵异肖寄语新生，要志存高远、勤学笃行，以严谨态度钻研专业知识；要包容互鉴、增进理解，在多元文化中搭建友谊桥梁；要遵规守纪、诚信为人，展现国际学生的良好风貌，鼓励大家在哈工大“埋下向上生长的种子”，书写属于自己的精彩篇章。
Subsequently, ZHAO Yixiao, Dean of CIE, delivered a speech. On behalf of all teachers and students of the college, she extended a warm welcome to the new students. By quoting the Arab proverb Seek knowledge, even if it is as far as China, she affirmed the new students’ courage to pursue knowledge across mountains and seas, and at the same time introduced HIT’s school-running strength, faculty, and scientific research platforms. ZHAO Yixiao advised the new students to aim high, study diligently and act with determination, and explore professional knowledge with a rigorous attitude; to be inclusive and learn from each other to enhance understanding, and build bridges of friendship in a multicultural environment; to abide by rules and disciplines, be honest, and show the good demeanor of international students. She encouraged everyone to plant the seeds of upward growth at HIT and write their own wonderful stories.

Speech by New Student Representative TAN Haiyue
2025级硕士研究生泰国籍RODCHAROEN SAINAMPUENG谭海月作为新生代表发言。曾以汉语进修生身份走进哈工大的她，如今以工商管理专业研究生的新身份重返校园。她分享了自己在汉语学习中收获的“天道酬勤”等中国智慧，讲述了自己在哈尔滨的生活和学习感受。她表示，中泰友谊如两棵根系相连的大树，在哈工大的求学岁月中，她将扎根中文、深耕专业、汲取中国文化，让个人的梦想之树枝繁叶茂，为这片友谊森林再添新绿。
RODCHAROEN SAINAMPUENG (Chinese name: TAN Haiyue), a 2025 master’s student from Thailand, spoke as the new student representative. She once entered HIT as a Chinese language student, and now returns to the campus with a new identity as a graduate student majoring in Business Administration. She shared the Chinese wisdom she gained in Chinese language learning, such as Hard work pays off, and talked about her life and study experience in Harbin. She said that the friendship between China and Thailand is like two big trees with intertwined roots. During her studies at HIT, she will be rooted in the Chinese language, deepen her expertise in her major, and absorb Chinese culture, so that the tree of her personal dreams will flourish and add new vitality to this forest of friendship.

The session of presenting school badges to new students added warmth and touch to the ceremony. 在随后的入学教育环节，哈尔滨市公安局南岗分局外管科警官钟震宇围绕国际学生在华法律法规展开宣讲，详细解读了签证办理、居留许可、合法权益与义务等关键内容，提醒新生们遵守中国法律，保障自身在华生活的合规与安全。哈尔滨工业大学保卫处教师母展硕则聚焦校园安全，从消防安全、人身安全、财产安全等方面进行讲解，结合校园实际案例，强调“安全无小事”，引导新生增强安全防范意识。
In the subsequent orientation session, ZHONG Zhenyu, a police officer from the Foreign Affairs Administration Section of Nangang Branch of Harbin Public Security Bureau, gave a lecture on laws and regulations for international students in China. He explained key contents such as visa processing, residence permits, legal rights and obligations in detail, and reminded the new students to abide by Chinese laws to ensure the compliance and safety of their life in China. MU Zhanshuo, a teacher from HIT’s Security Department, focused on campus safety, explaining fire safety, personal safety, and property safety. Combining actual campus cases, he emphasized that no safety matter is trivial and guided the new students to enhance their safety awareness.

学院来华管理部副主任卢静静系统地讲解了校规校纪与校园生活服务相关内容，详细说明学业管理规范——包括本科生与研究生的课程要求、学分标准、考试纪律；同时介绍了学期注册流程、保险理赔、签证延期等实用信息，并推荐了本科教学服务管理系统、研究生教育管理系统、哈工大APP等线上服务平台，为新生们的校园生活提供全方位指引。
LU Jingjing, Deputy Director of the International Education Management Department of CIE, systematically explained the contents related to university rules and disciplines as well as campus life services. She detailed the academic management standards, including the course requirements, credit standards, and examination discipline for undergraduate and graduate students; at the same time, she introduced practical information such as semester registration procedures, insurance claims, and visa extension, and recommended online service platforms such as the Undergraduate Teaching Service Management System, Graduate Education Management System, and HIT APP, providing comprehensive guidance for the new students’ campus life.

During the event, students wore exclusive T-shirts from the new student gift packages, becoming a bright sight at the venue. The new students all said that through this event, they not only felt the warmth and care of HIT, but also clarified the direction of their future studies and life, and would start a new chapter of study at HIT with full enthusiasm. In the future, CIE will continue to polish the HI-T series of student activity brands and provide multi-faceted support for international students on campus in terms of academics, life, and cultural adaptation.
