为弘扬“奉献、友爱、互助、进步”的志愿服务精神，帮助乡镇儿童开阔眼界、提升综合素质，3月20日下午，国际教育学院Hi-Torch国际学生志愿服务队联合化工与化学学院“爱之翼”青年志愿者协会组织中外学生志愿者前往哈尔滨市幸福中心小学校，为孩子们带来了一堂别开生面的趣味化学实验课。
To promote the spirit of volunteerism characterized by“dedication, friendship, mutual aid, and progress”and to broaden the horizons and enhance the comprehensive qualities of rural children, the Hi-Torch International Student Volunteer Service Team under the College of International Education joined forces with the Youth Volunteer Association “Wings of Love”from the College of Chemical Engineering and Chemistry on the afternoon of March 20. Together, they organized a group of Chinese and international student volunteers to deliver a captivating chemistry-themed educational workshop at the Harbin Happiness Center Primary School.
课堂上，志愿者讲师演示并讲解了“会冒泡的彩色画”和“茶水墨水大变身”两项化学实验，一边操作一边讲解实验原理。来自不同国家的学生志愿者共同走进孩子们中间，耐心引导他们动手操作，共同观察白醋与小苏打以及氯化铁与草酸、鞣酸等试剂反应时产生的奇妙变化。实验之余，国际学生志愿者们热情地向孩子们进行自我介绍，分享各自国家的风土人情。孩子们在欢声笑语中不仅感受到化学的神奇与魅力，更领略到多元文化的别样精彩。
During the session, volunteer instructors demonstrated and explained two interactive experiments: “Colorful Bubbling Paint and Tea-Water to Ink Transformation.”While guiding students through hands-on activities, volunteers from diverse countries shared their cultural backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural communication. The young participants not only marveled at the scientific marvels of vinegar reacting with baking soda and iron chloride with oxalic acid but also celebrated the richness of global traditions through lively interactions.
本次趣味化学实验课圆满落幕。Hi-Torch国际学生志愿服务队将持续优化课程内容，深化与各学院的合作，拓展更多中外学生支教等品牌活动，努力为学校迈向世界一流大学前列注入更多青春动能。
The event concluded successfully, with the Hi-Torch Team vowing to refine its curriculum, deepen intercollegiate collaboration, and expand initiatives like this bilingual education program. By blending academic exploration with cultural exchange, the initiative aims to contribute to the university’s mission of becoming a world-class institution while nurturing a spirit of global citizenship among students.
