Tracing the Roots of Chinese Characters, Experiencing the Splendor of Chinese Civilization——College of International Education of HIT Organizes International Students to Visit Anyang National Museum of Chinese Writing for Chinese Character Culture and National Conditions Education Practice
为进一步深化来华留学生知华友华教育，以中华优秀传统文化为纽带促进中外文明交流互鉴，6月24日，哈尔滨工业大学国际教育学院组织哈尔滨本部、深圳校区共34名国际学生前往安阳中国文字博物馆，开展中华汉字文化主题研学暨国情教育实践活动。本次参与学生来自埃塞俄比亚、塞拉利昂、尼日利亚等十余个国家，大家沉浸式溯源汉字起源，体悟中华文明源远流长的独特魅力，推动馆校协同育人走深走实。
To further deepen the education of cultivating international students who understand and befriend China, and promote exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations through outstanding traditional Chinese culture, College of International Education of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) organized 34 international students from HIT Harbin Campus and Shenzhen Campus to visit the National Museum of Chinese Writing in Anyang on June 24 for a research study themed on Chinese character culture and a practical activity of national conditions education. The participating students came from more than ten countries including Ethiopia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria. They traced the origins of Chinese characters in an immersive manner, appreciated the timeless charm of Chinese civilization, and boosted the in-depth development of collaborative education between the university and the museum.
一、沉浸式体验：体悟甲骨形制，领略造字意趣
I. Immersive Experience: Appreciate Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Delight in the Wisdom of Character Creation
步入中国文字博物馆，在专业讲解员引导下，国际学生跳出书本理论层面的汉字认知，沉浸式领略甲骨文独特的形体之美与文化底蕴。现场同步开展多元文字体验活动：大家跟随指导教师练习甲骨文体操，以肢体演绎象形文字形态；亲手体验非遗雕版拓印，提笔临摹书写甲骨文，在趣味互动中直观读懂甲骨文 “依类象形、因形表意” 的造字精髓，深切感悟中华文字蕴含的独特浪漫与东方智慧。
Entering the National Museum of Chinese Writing and guided by professional interpreters, international students broke away from their theoretical, book-based understanding of Chinese characters to immerse themselves in the unique aesthetic forms and cultural charm of oracle bone inscriptions. A variety of character-themed experiences were held on site: students learned and practiced oracle bone calisthenics to interpret pictographic scripts through body movements, experienced intangible cultural heritage woodblock rubbing, and handwrote oracle bone characters. Through lively interactive activities, they intuitively grasped the character-making principle of oracle bone inscriptions—drawing shapes from objects and conveying meanings through forms, and deeply appreciated the unique romance and wisdom contained in Chinese characters.
二、溯源式研学：纵览文字沿革，读懂文明根脉
II. Origin-Tracing Research Study: Review the Evolution of Writing and Comprehend the Roots of Civilization
在展厅参观环节，全体学生循着历史时序系统参观文字发展专题展，系统梳理甲骨文的诞生背景、发掘历程、考古价值，清晰观摩汉字从甲骨金文、篆隶演变、楷行定型直至现代简体字完整演进全过程。通过直观可感的实物研学，大家跳出浅层语言学习，深刻认识汉字既是交流工具，也是中华文明绵延不绝的核心载体，切实读懂中华文脉的厚重底蕴。
During the exhibition tour, all students visited special exhibitions on the development of Chinese characters in chronological order. They systematically learned about the birth background, excavation history and archaeological value of oracle bone inscriptions, and observed the complete evolution of Chinese writing, from oracle bone and bronze inscriptions, seal and clerical scripts, regular and running scripts to modern simplified Chinese characters. Through this tangible on-site research, students went beyond basic language learning and deeply recognized that Chinese characters are not merely communication tools, but the core carrier sustaining the uninterrupted inheritance of Chinese civilization, allowing them to truly grasp the profound heritage of Chinese cultural lineage.
三、长效化共建：新建国情教育平台，夯实协同育人阵地
III. Long-Term Co-Construction: Build a Chinese National Education Platform and Consolidate the Foundation of Collaborative Education
研学活动尾声，哈工大国际教育学院与安阳中国文字博物馆达成馆校协同育人共识，共建常态化国情教育实践基地。双方整合场馆展陈与学院育人资源，以汉字文化研学为载体，打造面向来华留学生的长效传统文化实践平台，构建“参观研学—互动体验—文化感悟—对外传播” 一体化育人体系。
At the end of the study tour, College of International Education of HIT reached a collaborative education agreement with the National Museum of Chinese Writing in Anyang to build a regular practical base for national conditions education. Integrating exhibition and educational resources, both sides will develop a long-term traditional culture platform for international students centered on Chinese character study, forming an integrated education chain of study tour, interactive experience, cultural perception and international communication.
未来，哈工大国际教育学院将以中华文字国情教育实践基地为重要依托，持续深化与中国文字博物馆长期战略合作，引导各国来华留学生以汉字为桥梁，读懂真实、立体、全面的当代中国，为促进文明交流互鉴、携手构建人类命运共同体贡献青春力量。
Moving forward, relying on the Practical Base for National Conditions Education of Chinese Character Culture, College of International Education will continue to deepen long-term strategic cooperation with the National Museum of Chinese Writing. Guiding international students from all over the world to take Chinese characters as a bridge to perceive an authentic, multi-dimensional and comprehensive China, contributing youthful strength to advancing exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations and jointly building a community with a shared future for mankind.
